ON’s 3rd Anniversary Dining Party was held.
Celebrating ON’’s 3rd anniversary, they hold a private party exhibiting KANGAWA’s art pieces. (ON is a firm which was established in order for supporting KANGAWA’s “Social Script”.
Former Chairman and Group CEO of Sony Corporation, CEO of HAKUHODO DESIGN, a world famous art collector, and representatives from every sector or industry of the society attended this party. In this party, a range of topic from design, business, and art were argued with the exhibition of KANGAWA’s pieces. (ON is a firm which KANGAWA established with his partners. ON assumes the roles of translator and facilitator, realizing the goals laid out in Social Script. It has achieved prominence as a leading ‘company’ in Japan. )
A joint work between KANGAWA’s footages, “from the future” and “After the War” and the world-renowned musician, Terry Riley was put on.
A special installation with the world-renowned musician, Terry Riley was held. This joint work was provoked by the two artists’ mutual sympathy towards two video art works,“from the future” and “After the War”. This transgenerational collaboration gained high praise.

EUGENE KANGAWA announced his new footage, "SANSUI"
“SANSUI” is a footage that depicts a man’s sight who determined the mythical pilgrimage route of Tohoku Region of Japan which may have once existed.
EUGENE KANGAWA films the brutal midwinter mountains, snow mountain, whirling rivers, breathtaking waterfalls, immense forests, expansive earth and endless sky by the super-resolution sensor, and it gives viewers a tranquil and contemplative experience in outstanding resolution.

This magazine features new movement of design. In the interview, KANGAWA talked about “the new social role of artist and designer, the lineage on Marcel Duchamp and Shusaku Arakawa”.
